The Priesthood of the believer

The Priesthood of the Believer may well be the missing element that has kept so many Christians from becoming the spiritual people God wants them to be and they desire to be.  It may be the missing element that has prevented the Church from having true revival.

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, 

His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him

 who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Pet 2:9

Greetings in Our Victorious Lord,

I believe it was Leonard Ravenhill who said “There is a great deal of difference between knowing the word of God and knowing the God of the word.” While we are aided greatly in our understanding of the heart and pur- pose of God through His word, it is nonetheless true that we need to press on to know the Lord.

The material in this syllabus under the title of “THE PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER” are truths that I have taught for many years. They have been stepping stones in my effort to learn to know God. I know that the mate- rial in this series of studies will benefit the honest reader, and that in large measure.

I want to express my sincerest appreciation to my friend and secretary Amber Simpson for her untiring work in the preparation of this manual. Without her help, I would not have been able to meet the deadlines required.

I trust your journey with me to become a priest unto the Lord will be a fruitful one. God’s very best now.
